Questions
What time does Tatkal booking open?
One day before the date of journey, not counting the journey day: 10:00 AM IST for AC classes and 11:00 AM IST for non-AC classes such as Sleeper. Since July 2025, online Tatkal booking on IRCTC needs an Aadhaar-authenticated account and an OTP sent to the registered mobile, so the booking is made on your family's own IRCTC account and someone needs that phone at hand when the window opens.
Can you book Tatkal tickets for my parents in India?
Yes. Give your Lifestyle Manager the route, date and passenger details in advance and they are ready when the window opens, rather than everyone scrambling on the morning.
Do you guarantee a confirmed ticket?
No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. Tatkal is first-come on IRCTC and there is no privileged access to buy. What we change is preparation — details entered in advance, someone ready at the exact minute, and an alternative lined up if it fails.
What if the waitlist never clears?
Your Lifestyle Manager watches the PNR and comes back with options before travel day — a different train, a different class, or another route — instead of you discovering it the night before.
Can you do this while I am overseas?
Yes. The booking happens in India on Indian time, which is the entire difficulty when you are in another timezone.
